I think of ‘Najljepši dan’ as my personal mantra of positivity and healing!
After my last original song ‘Lay You Down‘, I’ve ventured into new collaborations culminating with the latest single ‘Najljepši dan‘, created in collaboration with the lead vocal of Pavel – Aljoša Šerić, producer Srđan Sekulović Skansi and Dallas Records.
When Aljoša sent me the text, I was shocked how he ‘accidentally’ – if one believes in serendipity – painted my current state of mind. Back then I was still living in Osijek, feeling a huge desire to leave the past behind and further my personal growth. I no longer wanted to feel sorrow or any other negative emotion, I wished to learn, accept and move on. Singing the lyrics ‘There’s nothing I cannot do myself’ and ‘Most beautiful day (Najljepši dan) is welcoming me’ felt like therapy I’ve created for myself. The more I repeated these words, the more they came alive and eventually became my reality. That is why I think of this song as my personal mantra of positivity, and wish for it to spark a sense of freedom in everyone, to accept one’s person as a unique universe with endless possibilities, and that so-called bad experiences become just another stepping stone toward building a better and stronger self.
Accompanying animated music video is a short narrative of personal development; story about creating one’s personal freedom, putting the past behind and releasing ourselves from its chains, because – as director Mare Milin explains – past only places big and small obstacles in front of us, hindering our way Forward. We’ve chosen a tree growing out of a small seed as a symbol of everything that this freedom represents, reaching toward the sky and 360 degrees around its trunk, not caring about the past – keeping on growing no matter what. Nina symbolically has a large personalized tree tattoo on her back that perfectly fits this story, told – among other things – with colors that have deeper meaning.
Black is just the beginning, emerging from a sudden change, driving the growth and development of a person. From light green to the more dramatic forest green – accentuating movement and dynamic – followed by blue and ending in purple as the ultimate goal. Spirituality holds special importance to me, and I tend to associate it with art
Each Chakra reflects a particular color with green being the color of the heart, blue referring to the color of the throat when singing and expressing yourself, and the purple invoking spiritual ascension, the so-called third eye. Music, colors and nature are my best healing mechanisms, which is why I’ve intertwined these three loves in this motivational tale. I want to thank everyone who helped make this wonderful project happen and I hope you enjoy the song and have a ‘Most Beautiful Day’ – Najljepši dan!
